The Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association has announced its 2026 Northeast Region Team, and Inola High School senior Makiah Barnett has earned a place among the elite honorees.
Selected in late March 2026, this prestigious recognition highlights the top girls basketball talent from across the eastern region of Oklahoma. Barnett’s selection reflects her outstanding performance, dedication, and impact on the court throughout her high school career.
Even more remarkable, Barnett achieved this honor while playing through a torn ACL and has only recently undergone surgery. Her resilience, toughness, and commitment to her team further underscore the significance of this accomplishment.
