Inola High School track athletes delivered an impressive performance at the Vinita Track Meet on Friday, April 17th, highlighted by multiple first-place finishes and a record-breaking relay.

The Lady Longhorns were led by the 4x800 relay team of Sophie Helling, Zoey Hadley, Brynlee Pratt, and Bella Riggs, who captured 1st place and set a new school record with a time of 10:17.51. Individually, Helling also earned 3rd place in the 400-meter dash. Hadley and Pratt each contributed to a 2nd place finish in the 4x400 relay, alongside Riggs and Abigail Hughes.

Riggs had a standout day, adding a 1st place finish in the 300-meter hurdles to her relay victory. In field events, Larkin Sears claimed 1st place in pole vault and finished 4th in high jump, while Kyrstin Roberts placed 5th in high jump.

On the boys side, Jaxon Dark took 3rd place in the 400-meter dash. Freshman Nathan Saunders had an exceptional meet, earning 1st place in the 200-meter dash, 1st place as part of the 4x400 relay team, and 2nd place in high jump. Caden Poe also contributed to the 4x400 relay victory and placed 4th in high jump in the freshman division.

Additional top performers included Kayden Bowdle, who finished 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles, Sawyer Tulk, who took 1st place in the 3200-meter run, and Caleb Sims, who dominated in field events with a 1st place finish in discus and 2nd place in shot put.

The Longhorns continue to build momentum as the season progresses, showcasing both depth and determination across all events.
