Inola High School boys track athletes competed at the Conference Track Meet on Monday, April 27, at Jay High School, earning an impressive 2nd place overall team finish.
The Longhorns delivered outstanding performances across the board, with multiple athletes earning conference medals:
Jacob Spiri won the 1600-meter run and placed 3rd in the 800-meter run
Kayden Bowdle finished 3rd in the 110-meter hurdles
Sawyer Tulk captured 1st place in the 3200-meter run
Nathan Saunders placed 3rd in both the high jump and the 200-meter dash
Caleb Sims won the discus and took 2nd in shot put
Jenner Estes earned 2nd in the 100-meter dash
Jaxon Dark finished 2nd in the 400-meter dash
Zeke Rodriguez won the long jump and placed 3rd in the 100-meter dash
Chance Lawrence captured 1st place in pole vault
Caden Poe tied for 3rd in the high jump alongside Nathan Saunders
In relay competition, the team of Jenner Estes, Jacob Spiri, Zeke Rodriguez, and Jaxon Dark claimed 1st place in the 4x800-meter relay.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Jenner Estes, Nathan Saunders, Zeke Rodriguez, and Jaxon Dark placed 2nd while setting a new school record with a time of 3:34.53.
