Inola High School senior golfer Travis Weast capped off an outstanding season with a strong performance at the Class 4A State Championship held at Winter Creek Golf Course in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Weast shot an even par round of 72 to finish in 7th place overall in the state tournament.
With his top finish, Weast also earned OCA All-State honors and will represent Inola this summer in the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Games in Edmond.
In addition to the success on the course, the Inola golf team also earned recognition in the classroom. Seniors Caden Thompson, Travis Weast, Caleb Helling, and Aiden Schaefer, along with junior Dior Seji, qualified for Academic All-State honors. This marks the third time in the past four years that the Longhorn golf program has received Academic All-State recognition.
