Inola FFA attended State Cattle Grading at the Tulsa State Fair. This contest was an amazing opportunity for teams all across Oklahoma. This competition was a great opportunity for students to showcase the skills they have learned over the couple months worth of competitions and practices.

Inola FFA earned 4th place out of 250 teams in this competition which is an amazing achievement for Inola FFA and reflects their hard work, dedication, and preparation. The members also showcased their skills in individual placing; four of them placing in the top 100th out of 900 individuals. These students were Tate Unrau, Cambrey Gibson, Alexa Ward, and Kalynn Farar. Tate Unrau placed 29th, Alexa Ward placed 36th, and Cambrey Gibson placed 61st. These results are a great reflection of the time and effort students have put into developing their cattle evaluation skills. This experience can help students in the future so they are able to continue getting better and better each year.

Participation in FFA competitions like cattle grading gives students valuable real world skills that they can continue to build on in the future.

State Cattle Grading is the highest contest you can go to for cattle grading. The top three teams get to go on stage at the Oklahoma State Convention and receive an award. Inola FFA was the closest they have ever been to receiving this award. We cannot wait to see what the next year holds for Inola FFA’s Cattle Grading team.
