Longhorn Games

On Saturday, April 25, Inola proudly hosted its annual Special Olympics Longhorn Games, celebrating the dedication, growth, and achievements of its student-athletes throughout the season.

The event brought together athletes, families, teachers, coaches, volunteers, and staff for a day filled with competition, encouragement, and fun. The energy and support from everyone in attendance made the day especially memorable, as athletes showcased their hard work and enjoyed every moment of the experience.

Inola extends a special thank-you to Savannah Yoder, Inola Elementary teacher, for her dedication and countless hours of work in organizing a successful and enjoyable event for all involved.

Looking ahead, the 2026 Special Olympics Oklahoma Summer Games will be held May 13–15 at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. This statewide event will feature a variety of competitions, including track and field, bocce, bowling, and more, hosted at venues across the OSU campus.
