On Friday, May 3, IHS FFA Ag Teacher Mr. Wetherell took his shop classes to Arcosa Wind Towers in Catoosa to tour their facility. Students learned about the various welding procedures that they perform as a company.
The Cherokee Nation donated $50,000 to Inola Public School on Thursday, May 2, to go toward the construction of the Ag building addition and the indoor hitting facility.
Our track state qualifiers began their day at Inola Elementary for a MEET & GREET!

Inola Golf is now 4A State Golf Tournament Qualifiers and will be competing next Monday and Tuesday in the State Tournament held at Shangri La! These boys played through every type of Spring weather imaginable today to finish 3rd at Regionals in Poteau on an extremely tough golf course. They are literally on top of the world competing at Wolf Mountain on Cavanal Hill (the biggest hill in the world.)1.5 hour delay, cold, wind, rain and still got it done! Team members from left to right are Sophomore Travis Weast, Sophomore Caleb Helling, Senior Trevor Groff, Sophomore Caden Thompson, Sophomore Aidan Schaefer, and Coaches Tucker Thompson & Evan Schultz. Also want to congratulate Travis Weast for shooting a stellar round of 74 and finishing runner-up (tied for 1st and lost in a playoff). Caden Thompson also finished in the top 10 at 7th place.

On Sunday, April 28, from 4 pm to 9 pm, Simple Simon's of Inola will be donating 10% of their proceeds to the Academic Team. Come have some pizza and help support the Academic Teams' trip to Nationals in June!

We have *two* academic teams teams headed to Nationals in Chicago! Join us for Bingo Night at Calvary Baptist on April 27th to raise the money needed to fund their trip. If you would like to help out but are unable to attend Bingo Night, contact Mrs. Holland at the Middle School.
Inola Golf shot a season best 319 and placed 2nd out of 18 teams in the Pryor Invitational held at Pryor Creek on Thursday, April 25. They also placed two players in the top 10 out 88 total players. Sophomore Caden Thompson was the Champion shooting a -1 round of 71 and Travis Weast placed 3rd with a round of 74! Team members are Senior Trevor Groff, Sophomore Caden Thompson, Sophomore Aidan Schaefer, Sophomore Travis Weast, Sophomore Caleb Helling, and Coaches Tucker Thompson & Evan Schultz
The results are in from the Northeast Area Speech contest.. and we are STATE CONTEST BOUND!
Shane Chairez placed 4th in the FFA Creed
Anna Jo Helling placed 3rd in Extemporaneous and 1st in Ag policy. She will be competing at the State Contest next week with her Ag policy speech!
We are so proud of these two for their accomplishments this season! To our knowledge, they are the first speakers from Inola FFA to advance on to the Northeast Area contest in roughly 20 years!
Lady Longhorn Golf competed in Regionals on Wednesday, April 24. Senior Maggie Strand anchored our 2 spot and she came in with her third best score of the year.
Two time state qualifier Taylor Cook played out 1 spot alongside 2 of the best golfers in the region and shot a career best 88 to finish in 10th place and qualify herself for state again!!!
The team finished in 6th place in what was a crowded and very tough regional. Another good year for the Lady Horns golf team.

Results from OSSAA State Jazz Competition!
Black Fox Big Band I: Straight Superiors and 7th place in Class 4A! (Out of 22, we were dead last, last year.)
Black Fox Big Band II: Excellent Ratings! (This group scored higher than last years’ jazz band scored).
Inola Golf shot a 329 and placed 2nd out of 21 teams in the Skiatook Classic held at Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso. They also placed three players in the top 15 out 90 total plays. Sophomores Caden Thompson and Travis Weast tied for 2nd place and Senior Trevor Groff tied for 15th! 🏆 The Lady Horns are Playoff Bound!! The Lady Longhorn Soccer Team beat Verdigris 4-3 on Monday, April 22. This win has moved us to 2nd place in our district! Inola will be hosting a playoff match for the first time in Inola soccer history!
