Caleb Duncan and Andrew Shrier finished 5th in state at the fishing tournament this weekend at Grand Lake. They won fishing rods as their prize.



The Inola Fishing Team competed on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the first of a two-day state fishing tournament at Grand Lake. Inola did great job, with 3 teams in the top 12.






What a GREAT DAY for Inola Longhorn TRACK & FIELD!! We had 3 seniors compete for the last time in their HS career at an Inola meet …
AND both teams competed VERY WELL.
The girls were runner-up out of 15 teams & the boys were runner-up out of 18 teams.

Today these four boys competed in the T&D Meats Ag Mechanics Show with their 12’ Utility Trailer. They placed 1st in class and 3rd in the trailer division!


Inola Choir students who qualified for State Solo & Ensemble drove down to Crossings Christian School to compete! 3 Superior ratings and 2 Excellent ratings at state! These students are amazingly talented, we are blessed to work with them every day!

Mr. Chase Stookey and Mr. Todd Dixon, IHS teachers, took a group of students to the OKC Memorial this week on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Inola standout Brooke Walker signed her official letter of intent to play volleyball for Northeastern Oklahoma College.
Two-time state qualifier and All-Stater Walker signed on Thursday, April 18, as family, teammates, and peers looked on.
The 6’2” right side hitter is a setter and power hitter. Head coach Tyler Swope commented, “The Inola Volleyball program is incredibly proud of Brooke and her decision to play volleyball at the next level at NEO. She has made everyone involved in the Inola Volleyball program proud and we’re excited to see all that she accomplishes both in life and on the court over the next few years.”
Throughout her senior year, Brook has interned with Inola Pre-K teachers Mrs. Crutchfield and Mrs. Petros and plans to be an elementary teacher after college.


The IHS Hospitality class took a field trip to Pawhuska to the Pioneer Woman Mercantile. Joined by teacher Mrs. Shawnna Pratt and HS Counselor Dawn Martinez, several students enjoyed hands-on learning on Wednesday, April 17.


Spring Football

On Tuesday, April16, IHS FFA had 7 public speakers compete at the Wagoner Region Speech Contest, bringing several medals home. Students who placed in the top two of their divisions will advance on to the NE Area Speech contest next week!

Our IHS Longhorn Baseball Team are District Champions!

Inola Golf posted their best score of the year (320) and placed 2nd today at Patricia Island in this 30+ mph wind!
We also had 3 top 10 medalist:
Travis Weast 3rd
Caden Thompson T-4th
Trevor Groff T-8th



Inola Golf placed 4th on Monday, April 15, in the Heavener Tournament held at Wolf Mountain in Poteau. Caden Thompson finished tied for 2nd and Travis Weast finished tied for 9th individually.



Results from the Oklahoma State Jazz Festival!
On Monday, April 15, Inola HS Jazz II, Inola MS Jazz I, and Inola Jazz Combo competed at festival.
ALL THREE GROUPS RECEIVED STRAIGHT SUPERIOR (I) RATINGS!
Also we were the one of two schools at festival that had more than two bands, the other school was 6A!

The Lady Horns Golf Team traveled to Fort Smith, Arkansas, for the Roland Invitational and took 3rd place as a Team. Senior Maggie Strand shot her best score ever to take 9th place over all for individual medalist.

BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Addison Mootry and Miller Weast for being selected by the OCA 2025 All Star By Class 4A!

And the 2024 4A OSSAA Speech and Debate State Tournament is a wrap! We had 8 kids compete in 11 events and we have 4 kids coming home with state medals. Lots of fun, lots of love, lots of hard work, lots of stress, lots of tears, and lots of joy. These humans are just so wonderful.

It is a huge accomplishment to make it to state! These kids performed a minimum of 3 times for their speaking/acting events and 4 times for debate. Some performed more. Three full days of being on their A game.
