As we prepare for the first day of school tomorrow, I know there is a lot of stress and anxiety right now.  The information we get seems to change daily and I have greatly appreciated your understanding through this time.  We are trying to follow the guidance of the Oklahoma Department of Health in getting our school open, keeping it open, and keeping our kids safe.

In line with their guidance, all 5th through 12th graders will be required to wear masks when they are not able to socially distance themselves.  This requirement does not include students with a medical condition that precludes them from wearing one.  But obviously it does includes walking in the hallway or riding buses.  We ask that all students, even elementary, wear a face covering on the bus.

While our water fountains will be functioning and we will be disinfecting them constantly throughout the day, we are suggesting that students bring their own water bottles with them.

We ask that parents please take their child’s temperature before bringing them in the morning.  If they have a temperature of 100 degrees, do not bring them.

If your child is in 6th through 12th grade and signed up to do the Virtual Program (either all day or Blended), they will soon receive an email that gives them their student number and directions to the site to get started.

For students in Kindergarten through Second grade that are doing the Virtual Program, the company we purchased it through was running behind due to so many Oklahoma schools signing up.  We are supposed to be ready to log the students in tomorrow, and we will be getting back to those parents.  We believe they will be ready to go on Friday.
