INOLA, OK — Construction is well underway on a brand-new 120'x120' indoor baseball and softball facility at Inola High School, marking another major investment in the school’s athletic future. Funded through the most recent school bond and generously supported in part by a grant from the Cherokee Nation, the facility is expected to be completed by the end of August 2025.
The indoor complex will provide athletes year-round access to training space, regardless of weather conditions. Once completed, the facility will feature batting cages, pitching tunnels, and space for indoor practices for both baseball and softball programs at Inola.
The indoor training center was a component of the bond initiative approved by local voters in the last successful bond, aimed at upgrading and expanding Inola’s educational and extracurricular infrastructure. The project was further supported by a generous grant from the Cherokee Nation, which continues to play a vital role in supporting youth and community development throughout the region.
Inola Public Schools is grateful to its voters and to the Cherokee Nation for their partnership in making this long-anticipated facility a reality. The district looks forward to celebrating its official opening later this summer.
