Inola Football Field

INOLA, OK — Inola High School is excited to announce that construction on its newly upgraded football field is set to begin the second week of July, following delays caused by record rainfall throughout the region. The renovation is a key part of the grand prize earned through T-Mobile’s Friday Night Lights national competition—an honor won thanks to the overwhelming spirit and support of Inola students and the Longhorn community.

Originally scheduled to begin earlier this summer, the football field project was repeatedly delayed due to persistent storms and unusually heavy rainfall. With drier weather on the horizon, construction crews are now set to begin work, with a targeted completion date of the week of August 11—just in time for the start of the fall football season.

“The delays were frustrating, but we’re thrilled to finally break ground,” said Inola Superintendent Jeff Unrau.

The Inola Longhorns will face Adair at their first home game on Friday, September 5.
