Inola FFA’s National Convention Recap
Last week, six Inola FFA members were recognized on stage at the 98th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are so proud of their dedication that they have poured into their projects over the past 6 years!
National Proficiency Award Finalists:
Will Willhour- Beef Entrepreneurship
Wyatt Sterling- Poultry Production
Bryce Spurlock- Outdoor Recreation
After winning at the state level in May, these members were able to submit their qualifying applications to be considered on the National level. Their applications were then judged and named as a Top 4 finalist within their respective award areas. This is the first time in Inola’s FFA history to have a National Finalist!
American Degree Recipients:
Anna Jo Helling
Wyatt Sterling
Rayln Yoder (not pictured)
The American Degree is the highest honor that can be awarded to an FFA member. Less than 1% of all FFA Members enrolled each year receive this award. Inola FFA currently has 5 American Degree recipients from the past 70 years, so we are excited to add these three to the list!
