On Saturday, February 28, the Inola Longhorn men’s basketball team competed in the Regional Basketball Championship against one of the top-rated teams in the state. After a hard-fought battle, the Longhorns fell 88-50 but earned a spot in the upcoming Area Basketball Playoffs at Stroud.
Despite the loss, the night marked a major personal milestone for senior Caleb Helling, who joined an elite club by recording his 500th career rebound — a testament to his consistency, work ethic, and leadership throughout his high school career.
The Longhorns will continue their postseason run as they face the Bethany Bronchos in the first round of the Area Playoffs on Thursday, March 5, at 2:30 p.m. in Stroud.
Inola remains focused and determined as they prepare for the next challenge in their playoff journey.
