The Inola High School girls golf team continues to show impressive growth and determination, earning a 1st place team finish at the Wagoner Invitational held at Sequoyah State Park. The victory marks a special milestone for head coach Todd Dixon, as it is his first tournament win in his coaching career.
The Lady Longhorns were led by a strong performance from sophomore Emerson Barker, who shot a personal best and finished in a tie for 5th place alongside Josie Gibson.
Golf is a challenging sport that builds discipline, patience, and resilience, and the team’s success is a testament to their hard work and commitment. Winning as a team makes the accomplishment even more meaningful.
