Inola FFA members had a successful run at the Rogers County Fair this past week, with 13 students showing animals and four students qualifying for the Premium Sale held on September 21st. The county fair gives students the opportunity to showcase the animals they have raised, cared for, and worked with throughout the past year.
Inola FFA members brought home several awards across the poultry, rabbit, swine, and sheep divisions. Shane Chairez earned Grand Champion Turkey, while Conner Miller earned Reserve Champion Turkey. Thomas Hass had a successful show, earning both Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Large Fowl, while Michael Hass was named Reserve Senior Showman.
In the rabbit division, Caitlyn Earven earned Best of Opposite Breed with her Netherland Dwarf. Molli Whitecotton was named Reserve Overall Show Rabbit, and Tatum Miller earned Reserve Showman Rabbits.
The swine division also saw strong results, with Kaylynn Farar earning Reserve Overall Gilt and Reserve Commercial Breeding Gilt. Kylee Farar qualified for the Premium Sale. In the sheep division, Cambrey Gibson earned Southdown Wether Breed Champion and qualified for the Premium Sale, while Hailey Dorr also qualified for the Premium Sale.
Congratulations to all 13 Inola FFA members who participated in the Rogers County Fair. Their hard work and dedication throughout the year were on full display in the show ring, and we are proud of the way they represented Inola FFA!
